Dirty Little Secrets – Yeoman Rowena Lee
Genre: SFR
Title: Bodies in Motion (debut in June)

Dirty secrets? Yeah, I know a few. I have the hottest gossip in the fleet, and – no – I won’t tell you how I got any of it. If you want what I’ve got: pay up.

But, since I like you, I’ll tell you something people don’t know. I admit, I have a reputation. Even before the war I was considered a little dangerous. That’s what comes from living on a ship where even your own crew might put a knife in your back. Some people say I have trust issues. It’s not that, I just don’t trust anyone. And it takes a lot to rev my engine.

Before my fall from grace there were people that tried. The old fleet stand-bys are warships and ammunition. I have those, or I had them before the war. And after the war I’d lost rank and privileges and wasn’t allowed either. But let’s think back on happier days. Somewhere between the in-fighting on my ship and the war I spent three blissful years terrorizing the halls of the Imperial Academy as an officer candidate.

Picture a morning the week after finals. Most of the cadets had gone to home, or at least to allied ships. I thought I had the gym to myself when he walked in. Six-two and still growing, dark red hair a little longer than regulation allowed, golden eyes, and a smile that said his reputation as a good lover was true. Like I said, the fleet gossips and I hear everything.

He wasn’t my type… no. That’s wrong.

At that point I thought no one was “my type.” If I’d been born with a sex drive, it was out of fuel and needing repairs.

People said I was cold, and maybe that’s true. I don’t enjoy cuddling or caressing. Sugary words never made me want to drop my guard. But when he looked my way and nodded to the mat, I agreed.

Hand-to-hand combat wasn’t my strongest skill – yet. But I enjoyed it. And with Hollis Silar I didn’t have to hold back. I never had to pull my punches. I never had to apologize for what I was.

That morning we fought in silence. No knives, just fists, feet, and fury. It was the first time I won, pinning him to the mat. I could have flown, it was such a rush. Then I looked down, and he smiled, golden eyes glinting… and there was something.

After the war, when everything fell apart, we wound up back on the mats. It was supposed to be a public service, to repay my debt to society, but really I did for me. And for his smile. The times I’m close enough to feel his heartbeat, to see the glint of gold in his eye? That’s my fuel.

One day, he’ll be gone. He’ll find someone worthy of a commander and a war hero. But, today, his smile is mine.

Xander
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Title: First Light

I have a dirty little secret. My name is Xander Wulf, and I’m a shifter who was raised by humans.

Yep.

They didn’t know, of course. Hell, I didn’t either, until my fourteenth summer. I assumed, considering the circumstances, it was the urge to fuck. Something had struck me periodically for years, but I’d ignored it, convinced myself I was ill or too hot or, eventually, that I was just randy.

The day it happened, I was supposed to be chopping wood, preparing, as it seemed we always did, for winter. It was never too soon, my adopted father was fond of saying.

That particular day, I managed to convince Jayne Smyth to go for a walk in the forest. There was a stream nearby, with a sandy area tucked between a handful of boulders that I thought would be perfect for a rendezvous. I’d been feeling those urges again, and they were getting damned difficult to ignore. The panting, breaking out in a cold sweat, the itchy feeling under my skin, like ants were crawling all over my body. I swear, this morning, I’d glanced in the looking glass and my eyes were glowing. Eyes don’t glow. Human eyes don’t, at any rate.

I decided it was time to do something about it. I needed to lose my innocence; surely that was the problem. Every day I vigorously pumped myself, sometimes two or three times even, in an effort to relieve the strange sensation, but it never quite went away. Clearly, I needed a woman to help with the matter.

Unfortunately, things didn’t quite go as planned. Oh sure, I managed to lure Jayne to the sandy area next to the stream. And she had certainly appeared willing when I’d wrapped my arms around her and pressed my lips to hers. Hell, she’d tugged her dress over her head without so much as a muttered desperate plea from me.

I’d started panting like a damn dog, staring at her bare breasts, at the dark triangle of hair at the apex of her thighs. My shaft had swelled, my heart rate quickened, and when I’d reached for the laces on my pants, I glanced down and noticed my hand was … a paw.

A furry paw with long, sharp claws. I lifted it to my face to stare at it and Jayne’s eyes widened before she screamed, so loudly I was certain the gods would come down from the clouds to check on us. While she ran away without grabbing her dress, I shifted for the first time, and in the space of one heart beat to the other, I stood on four paws, fur covering my body, a wolf staring back at me from the depths of the stream.

That certainly explained those odd sensations I’d been feeling for years. Well, not entirely.

I still wanted to get laid.

Wyatt
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Title: Your Wild Heart

My name is Wyatt Powell. Dena Garson tells the story of when I met my mate, Isabelle Acker, in her book, Your Wild Heart. She asked me to drop by today and confess my dirty little secret. Like most guys, I’m not good at sharing personal things. But I agreed, so here goes.

In my day to day life, I am a Park Ranger in the National Park in the Black Hills. But behind the scenes, I am a member of the Tao Wolf Pack. Most of the time those two worlds operate just fine on their own, but sometimes they collide and I have to decide how to handle things without endangering or exposing my pack.

When that happens I need a way to relieve stress. Shifting and running does help, but that isn’t always possible. My dirty little secret is that the one thing that calms me most and lets me sleep is to make a big batch of crepes. I don’t even have to eat many of them, it’s the act of whipping the eggs and watching over the batter until it cooks just right. I’ve tested several different recipes as well as dozens of toppings and fillings with them – meats, cheeses, and sweets. Some were good, but not all.

Now that Isabelle has learned my secret, she has been pushing me to make them for her on the weekend. Not that you need to know this either, but it’s a nice treat to eat crepe crumbles and many of those toppings off of Isabelle. *laughs*

V is for Verité and she has a secret…
Book: Prowlers & Growlers Boxed Set
Title story: Dark Verité by Muffy Wilson

You have probably already read about Grigori, a dragon shifter in Shifting Scales (Siberian Paradox), who’s actually a tough badass and from Fallen, who claims to be the last of the dragon shifters—not, I’m one—in Fallen Ashes (Fated & Forbidden). She sounds pretty romantic, if you ask me, wanting to make love mid-flight with Saber.

Since I never made love before—my not-so-dirty secret—that sounds awesome to me. But, I am just shy of my eighteenth birthday, with raging hormones and a royal responsibility, and can’t act on what comes naturally. Damn!

I have to wait, all cranked up until I meet my destiny which is a human prince, named Rocklege. Really? My writer has me falling for a guy named Rocky? And guess what? He’s really a royal hunk, with a great set of glutes, dreamy eyes to die for, and I think he’s gonna be worth the wait.

Anyway, so I’m a virgin princess (yeppers, that’s my secret!) and the entire weight of my family, my heritage, our future generations is on my svelte shoulders. Yeah, that’s enough to dampen my desire. But still, there’s that age-old conflict between purity and lust crashing against the rocks of teenage impropriety.

Anyway, the coolio thing is, I swim, instead of fly, to the Island where I meet Rock and he comes upon me while I am sleeping, tired and spent from my journey. And I am naked! So he doesn’t know I am a dragon-shifter-princess-badass for a long time. And, predictably, he is pretty taken by my vestal virginness, which is awesome if you ask me. He offers me a wrap and lunch, and I follow my stomach—I was starving! It all starts from lunch of fish, which I love, by the freshwater pond where I wash off all the saltwater sandiness from my naked flesh.

Ole Rocky catches an eyeful…and I get swept away.

The book pretty much picks it up from here. It is fast, furious and there’s fighting, flying, and fucking. I won’t give any spoilers to ruin the read for you; I hate when people do that. Let’s just say that I earned my tag line with honors:
Between vixen and virgin, tomboy and tease, she’s not your run of the kill kind of girl!

When Death Steps In...

My Title: Prowlers & Growlers Boxed Set
Author Spotlight: Chicks Dig Scars by @KathleenGrieve

When Death Steps In...

Chicks Dig Scars
by
Kathleen Grieve
International Bestselling Author
@KathleenGrieve

When death steps in...

Committed and compassionate intensive care nurse, Rachel O'Dea will do anything to save her patients. But when she loses a kind and loving man whom she forged a fatherly relationship with, Rachel unravels.

...or so everyone thinks.

The calm and soothing voices Rachel hears and the apparitions she sees are of the deceased man and his late wife as they navigate and persuade her to make important choices in her life, leading her right where she's supposed to be.

Free clinic doctor, Devon Jameson, needs more hands on deck. He can't possibly handle all the medical cases alone. When Rachel walks in, volunteering her services, he knows he has no choice other than to take her on board as she proves her worth when a pediatric trauma is left on his doorstep and there’s no one else to assist. As the two begin working together, their lives intertwine and the attraction intensifies. Scarred deeply by their past and their pain, Rachel and Devon begin a future only angels could predict.

Rachel walked over to the young Latino woman and waited for her to open the glass before speaking. “Hi, I’m here to see Dr. Jameson.”

“The doctor is busy,” she said pushing a clipboard forward. “Fill this out and I’ll call your name when it’s your turn,” she said in heavily accented English, and turned her attention back to her nails.

“Sorry, no,” Rachel said. “You misunderstand.” She glanced at the woman’s nametag. “Maria, I’m not here for an appointment. I’m, er, a friend of Dr. Jameson’s.” The lie poured off her tongue and she gripped the shoulder strap of her purse praying she wouldn’t be sent away.

Maria’s hand stilled and she lifted a brow. “The doctor has no friends.” The clinic’s phone began to ring, but she ignored it.

Gee, I wonder why almost spilled from Rachel’s mouth but she caught herself just in time. Not for the first time she wondered how Seamus had spawned the devil himself.

“Maria,” Devon’s harsh voice yelled out. “Answer that damn phone already.”

“I’m busy,” Maria replied sweetly, loud enough to be heard in the back. She glanced at Rachel. A sly smile curved her lips. “Talking to your friend.”

“I don’t have any friends,” he said coming around the corner.

“See?” Maria said with a careless shrug, going back to her nails once more. “I told you.”

Awesome. Just fucking awesome. Rachel wanted to crawl under a rock and die. Get lost in the Sahara Desert with no water in 150 degree heat. Or be left in shark-infested waters with no life raft. Be anywhere but here. You owe me, Seamus.

“What the hell are you doing here?” he demanded.

“I… ah,” Rachel cleared her throat. Fuck my life. Why had she let Seamus talk her into this again? Oh yes. He didn’t want his body in a cold steel box. If what the ghost had said was true and he wasn’t just her overactive imagination playing tricks on her. Damn it. Devon was going to see reason. She steeled her shoulders and lifted her chin. “I need to talk to you.” She glanced at Maria. “In private,” she added.

“You knock her up or something, Doc? Cuz there’s only one reason a woman comes in here looking that way. Like she’s going to tell you about the little bun in her oven.”

“What? No!” Rachel and Devon said in unison.

The horror Rachel felt must’ve been written all over her face, because Devon scowled and Maria just laughed. Heat flamed Rachel’s cheeks.

“You get five minutes,” he said harshly and turned on his heal.

Maria motioned with her nail file. “Go through that door, chica. Turn left and you’ll find the doctor. Good luck,” she said with a wink. “I hope it’s a girl. Another boy with that man’s temper? No bueno.” She tsked.

Hi, I’m Kathleen and I’m going to be your nurse tonight. How are you feeling—Oh! Oops! Wrong job, LOL.  I really do need to remember to try and delete “Oops” from my vocabulary. Doesn’t really inspire confidence in a patient when that word pops out of my mouth—which is way too often. J I am so very happy to be here. Thank you for the invitation to get out of my scrubs and chill for a bit.

How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
I was first published back in 2008, but I’ve always written stories.

How did you come up with this storyline?
Ha! I was just talking about this tonight at work. I’d actually started this manuscript back in 2007 and shelved it. The idea had originally came on a night where one of my patients had passed away. I can’t remember if we had coded him or if it was a case where we withdrew care.

When a patient dies, we remove all the invasive lines and tubes, bathe the body, put glasses and dentures in place and then bag the body for the morgue. I don’t know if anyone has ever seen a dead body up close—and I’m not talking about a viewing in a mortuary where the person looks like they’re sleeping.

Well on this particular night as I was going about doing post mortem care and my mind started with the “what if” questions. I couldn’t get the patient’s mouth to close around his dentures and they kept sliding out. So then I’m wondering What if he is standing beside me as I’m doing this watching me and shaking his head at my failure to get the dentures in place properly? What if I could actually see and talk to him and he gave me advice? What if I saw his ghost and just freaked the F—ck out? LOL

What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
Some of the best aspects of writing is all the really great friendships I’ve made over the years. I’ve learned so much and have grown tremendously as a writer thanks to the support of the writing community and am so grateful.
The worst aspect… probably all of the promotional work that goes into a book release. Trying to get the word spread about your book is really hard. There are so many great authors out there and standing up and shouting to the world “Read Mine!!!” seems a bit ridiculous. LOL But I’m learning…

What inspires you to write?
Working critical care can be extremely depressing. Helping people who suffer with horrendous illnesses or have been involved in tragic accidents can chip away at a person’s spirit. I love happily ever afters—who doesn’t? Writing is a wonderful escape for me.

How did you conduct your research for Chicks Dig Scars?
I’ve been a nurse for 23 years, so you can say I’ve been “researching” all of my adult life!

What are 3 of your favorite quotes from Chicks Dig Scars?
Maybe this whole I’m your dead patient and I’m going to haunt you thing is growing on me.

“Christ, I’m losing my mind. I’m yelling at a dead man.”

“There’s sex in the afterlife?”

Any more Favorites from Chicks Dig Scars?

Yes! The scene where Devon’s receptionist thinks Rachel is knocked up. See below:

“Go through that door, chica. Turn left and you’ll find the doctor. Good luck,” she said with a wink. “I hope it’s a girl. Another boy with that man’s temper? No bueno.” She tsked.
              “I’m not pregnant!” Rachel insisted.

What would your friends say is your best quality?
That I have a lot of drive...

Are reader reviews important to you? Why?
Important? Hmmm… I do love hearing from readers, but I don’t write for the reviews. I write for me.

What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life”
Work. I have four kids to get through college. Two are in college and 3rd kiddo starts in the fall. When I’m off, my husband and I have season baseball and football tickets, go to concerts, I bake—of course—and there’s lots of mandatory education required for my job as a flight nurse.

Tell us about your other books?
Besides Chicks Dig Scars, I currently have 4 titles available: The first two books of my Dating Series~Dating 911 & Dating Impossible; The Doctor’s Deception; Sex Is The Best Medicine, and Diary of A Naughty Nurse. All of these are contemporary romances with action packed medical drama, humor and
steamy enough to fog your glasses!

Genre: PNR
Book: Prowlers & Growlers Boxed set
Title story: Swelter

I was told that you wanted to know a dirty secret of mine. *Smirks* I have many. My thoughts are my own and I don’t share them willingly. If it weren’t for K.C. Stewart for making me do this then I would be at home with a fine glass of scotch and making plans on how next to pester the red-headed Halfling who thinks she’s going to kill me.

But since Ms. Stewart is glaring at me, I guess I’ll get to the point.

I’ve always been dominant in everything I do. I didn’t get where I am as leader of the Green Dragons by being soft. Oh no, I am feared as much as respected. I killed my father to take the throne, to gain power. There were other circumstances that really have no place in this conversation. The point is, I like being on top, in everything that I do.

I could have put down this assassin in a number of ways weeks ago. Kill her or pay her off are the most direct but there are other ways. I’ve watched her, let her get close. Many would say I’ve let her get too close. It was under the guise of learning more about my enemy, but that’s the thing, I want her close. I want her every way a man can want a woman. Her trying to kill me is just a little hiccup. She’ll get over that. If I get her close enough I think I could convince her I am more useful to her alive than dead.

*Sighs* Yes, Ms. Stewart. When I say convince I mean seduce. Now, will you please keep your commentary to yourself?

So that’s it my lovelies. Now I must get back to my plans. Seduction doesn’t plan itself.

Rachel

Genre: PNR
Book: Prowlers & Growlers Boxed set
Title story: Chicks Dig Scars

“Wow…umm…okay,” Rachel began, wringing her hands together. “So you want to know my dirty little secret.” Could she do this? She stared into Devon’s oh so blue eyes and squirmed.

“Yes,” Devon said, covering her fingers with his large warm palms and giving a gentle, reassuring squeeze. “I told you mine, now you tell me yours.”

“That’s not fair,” she protested. “Yours was a spring break skinny dipping in the ocean drunken caper that got your balls sunburned.” She tried to look stern, but the image of Devon naked in broad daylight with all his credentials burned made her burst out laughing.

Devon grinned. “Exactly! So what could goodie two shoes Rachel have to hide?”

“Hey,” she said. “I’m not a goodie two shoes.”

Devon arched a dark brow.

“Much,” she amended.

“Well, prove it, then,” he said, leaning forward.

Rachel chewed on her lower lip, debating. Just as she was about to answer a burst of all too familiar bright light encompassed the room and Seamus poofed into their living room.

“Oh, I’m dying to hear this,” Seamus said.

“Ha ha,” Rachel said. “Not funny since you’re already dead. How many times have I asked you not to say stuff like that?”

“Da is here?” Devon looked around the room with interest.

“Yes. He’s dying to hear my dirty little secret,” she said, exhaling her breath in a puff that lifted her bangs off her forehead. “There’s no way I can tell you now. Not with your father in the room. It’s too embarrassing.”

Devon narrowed his gaze on her. “Are you sure you aren’t using my father’s ghost as an excuse not to tell me?”

“Would I do that?” she asked.

“You would,” both father and son answered in unison.

Rachel groaned. “Okay, okay,” she said with a half-hearted laugh. “I would. But he really is here.” She covered her face with her hands. “When I was in high school, Laura and I snuck into a porno flick at the late night movie theatre in West Phoenix. We got caught by the night manager and he called our parents. I was grounded for a month.”

Devon and Seamus began to laugh.

“What was the name of it? Maybe we could find a copy and watch it,” Devon said, pulling her into his arms and trailing heated kisses along her jaw.

“On Golden Blonde,” she said, giving him a gentle push. “Devon, your dad is watching.”

“Come back later, Da,” Devon said and captured her mouth in a heated kiss that curled her toes.

“Guess I’ll go to the nursery.” A flash of bright light burst against Rachel’s closed lids.

“Gone to nursey,” Rachel said.

“If he wakes the boys up,” Devon said against her lips. “I’ll kill him.”

“I heard that,” Seamus said into the empty space around them.

“He heard that,” Rachel said twining her arms around Devon’s neck and tugging him closer.

“Good,” Devon said. “Now why don’t you show me what was in that porno…”

Q (youngest brother from An Enduring Sun)

Genre: Fantasy/scifi
Title: Escape Velocity (coming soon)

To my brothers, I am weak. To my father, I am still a child. To the world, I am broken. Do you want to know a secret? A secret that no one knows?

I am none of these things. My life has not been easy. I suppose life isn’t meant to be. On the outside it might seem that I can’t cope, or that I’m afraid. I’m not. I’m angry. I’m zlagging pissed off. I am tired of being hurt, and used. I am tired of running.

I was raised in a laboratory. My mother died when I was very young, and my life became a series of experiments that were designed to make me stronger. Unbreakable. My body became steel. My mind became impregnable behind layers of hate and fear. The Terrans wanted to make me a killer, and they succeeded.

My brothers are heroes, but I’m not. Even Sevyn, who glories in the kill, only kills for the right reasons. Deep down in my heart, where I still have a bit of my humanity left, I know what I am. I’m the villain. I cannot be saved.

I have another secret. A voice that speaks to me in the night, whispering to me about a life that I could only imagine in my most beautiful dreams. She is soft when I am jagged and sharp, and she understands that I have darkness in my soul. My brothers believe that we deserve a better life. That we can be redeemed. I never thought it was possible, until she spoke to me.

I have never met her. I don’t know where she is, only that her voice floats across the radio waves on a long-dead frequency. I sit up late at night when the others are asleep and we talk until the suns begin to rise. I can tell her anything, and she does not hate me for what I have done. For what I was. For what I am.

I can’t tell my brothers or my father about her. I can’t let them know who she is. What she is. If they found out, they’d demand I never speak to her again. Because she’s one of them. The daughter of a Terran High Command Colonel. An enemy.

An Enduring Sun is Book I in the Project Aeon series. Q will have his own book, in which we get to explore his secrets a bit more, and I am really looking forward to his book! The title of Q’s novel is Escape Velocity and I hope readers will see it in 2018. These stories are part of the Takamo Universe project. Takamo Universe is a MMORPG PC game that will be released for gameplay in the fall of 2017. Authors were asked to create stories inside the game canon so that gamers can have more immersive gameplay. I think lovers of SF and SFR will also love Takamo stories.

Pankratios
Genre: PNR
Book: Prowlers & Growlers Boxed set
Title story: Immortal Alchemy

My name is Pankratios, Pan for short. As an arch mage, I have lived for over 12 centuries. Everyone assumes that because I am so long-lived that I am well-versed in the arts of sex and sexual relationships. The truth could not be farther from beliefs. I am picky. I am selective.

Unlike many who share the burden that is immortality, I have never felt compelled to be sexually promiscuous. Sure, I’ve had my opportunities, and have taken some. But, in the end, I believe in the notion of fidelity, and in sharing that perfect union with one person, not many.

My dirty little secret is that while I want to have a monogamous relationship with one woman, I want that one woman to be the dominant. I want her to crave and demand, but only when it is between us. For everyone else, I want the allusion to remain that I am the Alpha. I am the man. I am the one in charge. What I want, is the security not to have to be those things all the time.

For the right woman, and I believe I have found her, I will fight, and I will go to the ends of the earth to make her mine. But, in truth, in the end, it is I who am hers.

Oscar
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Title: Shifting Tactics

I'm Oscar. I'm one of the two alphas in Shifting Tactics. Let's make one thing clear, I'm not a patient man. I'm a strong alpha, I have work to do.

Yet Mrs. Schutt signed me up to tell you all a secret. *rolls shoulders* I have many secrets, it's a hazard of the job. *looks at McKayla* Oh it needs to be a dirty secret.

Well let's see here...

Oh, last night Scarlet and I had a night alone. We ran a few miles under the stars and stopped in a little field of grass and flowers.

I couldn't help myself any longer, I laid her down on the grass and when her gaze locked onto mine I will never admit that I froze for a slit second. The passion burning in her eyes as I was about to enter her almost dropped me. When she reached her climax and her gaze locked into me again I couldn't stop my own release. This little mate of mine is a vixen.

Scarlet has a way of making me weak in the bedroom and that can’t be known by others no matter how small some think it is. I’m the strong alpha, I need to project strength yet as soon as she flashes me a damn smile with heat in her eyes, well it’s all fucking over.

*Clears throat* Alright, I have fulfilled my duties and I need to go. *Puffs out chest and walks away.*

Nimue

Title: Timeless Desire

I believe I get pulled into things far too easy but once my curiosity is aroused, there is no going back.

I pray my husband Gawain never finds out I'm doing this or not only would there be hell to pay, chances were he'd very well wish for divorce.

And I couldn't blame him. I was about to violate one of the virtues he most loved about me. A sacred, fundamental part of my character that I wouldn't be able to get back.

So many people I knew were against this, would think me a deviant of dynamic proportions but I wouldn't rest until I knew it for myself, one way or the other.

Still, my heart quailed in a spasm of uncertainty.

Taking a deep breath, I glance at my companions, plastering on what I'm sure was fake smile. I finished off my coffee and rose, knocking my bag off the small, iron hewn table we'd all been sitting at.

To my horror, most of the contents spilled right on the sidewalk and I wanted to groan when my friends noticed the thick book entitled The Ultimate Guide to Kink: BDSM, Role Play, and the Erotic Edge. Granted, some of the edges were frayed and had 'post it' notes sticking obscenely out from certain pages.

Both women gaped, first at each other, then me.

"What?" I asked grumpily, bending to retrieve everything and hurriedly shoving it all back into my purse. "For when it gets quiet. You slags know how boring things get past Santa Monica on a Sunday night. Until evil actually comes calling down there, I need to keep my mind occupied." I huffed, turning to chuck my empty cup into the waste can. "I'll see you back home, after patrol. Stay safe, sisters."

I dashed out of the Starbucks without a backward glance, knowing I'd get grilled later. Sabrina and Guinevere were more relentless than the priests during the Spanish Inquisition.

My heart was racing wildly now, out of a combination of inquisitiveness and fear. I shot up La Cienega, looking over my shoulder now and then to make sure I wasn't being followed. Crossing the street, I glanced at my watch and quickened my steps. I couldn't be late. Tonight was the night and if I didn't do it now, I wouldn't attempt it again. Not with so much risk involved.

What am I doing? By the Old Ways, I was bound to lose so much if anyone ever found out about this.

Stop stalling. You know what you have to do and the sooner you do it, the quicker it'll all be over and you can go home, shower and forget all about it if it turns out to be that bad.

I arrived at my destination, hurried up to the small glass booth where he waited, face composed with gentle eyes. No judgement here. None.

I fumbled for my money and pushed it his way.

A Fallen Angel

My Title: Prowlers & Growlers Boxed Set
Author Spotlight: Fallen In Sin by @MarissaFarrar

A fallen angel is offered the chance at regaining his wings, just as long as he can corrupt a curvy mortal woman.

Fallen In Sin
by
Marissa Farrar
International Bestselling Author
@MarissaFarrar

After trying her best to live a life free from sin, curvy Eva plans for the next man she lets into her bed to be the one she spends the rest of her life with.

Offered the chance of regaining his wings, fallen angel Ruax is on a mission from the Devil. All he has to do is corrupt Eva enough for her soul to belong to the Dark Lord. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for the mortal girl. Will he complete his mission or will he let his feelings get in the way?

Ruax thought he was going to sleep, his feet hung over the end of the too-small-couch, but when he opened his eyes again he discovered himself back in Hell, standing in front of Satan in a world made of flames.

“So,” Satan said, reclining in his throne of bones. “How’s it going up there?”

Instantly, he was guarded. “Fine. It’s going fine.”

Lucifer threw back his head and laughed. “Fine? Do you think I don’t see what’s going on up there?”

“I’m making progress,” he snapped back.

“You only have three days. One of them is already gone, so now you’re down to two. You think licking a little pussy is going to corrupt her soul? You need to own her. Possess her. You’re going to need to fill her, every single part.”

“Having you watching in doesn’t exactly help.”

“Oh, you’re a big boy, Ruax. You know how all this works. They’re all being watched on Earth, whether it’s from down here, or up there. You’re mortal now, at least for the moment, so you get monitored just like the rest of them.”

Ruax scowled. “I don’t have much choice then, do I?”

“I’m glad to hear it.”

“You could give me some pointers, you know. Something about her that will help me get under her skin. You obviously know who she is and she’s important to you, or you wouldn’t be bothering with all of this.”

Lucifer smiled, but the action was terrifying. “Well, that would just spoil all my fun. I want to see you work for it, Ruax. Show me how much you want those wings back and you’ll be free of me for good.” He gave a little chuckle. “Or for as long as you can go without pissing His Almighty off again and getting your sorry ass sent back down here.”

“That was a misunderstanding,” Ruax mumbled.

“Yeah, yeah. That’s what they all say. Now go and get back to work.”

Satan lifted a hand and drew it across Ruax in a horizontal line. A wall of flames rushed up around him, though he felt no heat. The brightness of the light blinded him, and he squeezed his eyes shut against the force.

When he opened them again, Hell had vanished.

How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
Hi! Thanks for having me. I’ve been a writer since I was a child, but I’ve been writing professionally for the past seven years. Writing has always been something I’ve done, but it wasn’t until I finished my degree in Zoology that I decided it was something I wanted to pursue as a profession. It took me another six years after making that decision to finally get published.

How did you come up with this storyline?
I’ve wanted to write a fallen angel story for a while now, and I love writing about curvy women, as I am one myself! When the opportunity arose to write a story for the Prowlers and Growlers boxed set, I decided now was the time to get those writer muscles flexing and write about my fallen angel and the curvy girl he has to corrupt.

What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
The best aspects are getting to live so many lives through the characters of the books I write. I love to write, and I’m kind of obsessive about it – I write a new novel every other month! The worst aspects are the self-doubt – worrying that my work won’t live up to expectations.

What inspires you to write?
Everything! Other books I read, televisions shows, movies, dreams I have, overheard conversations in the street. I’m constantly inspired.

How did you conduct your research for Fallen in Sin?
In the same way most writers conduct their research – through Google! My character Ruax is an actual fallen angel from mythology – he’s the fallen angel of headaches! I also set my novel in New York, so I needed to research some of the locations.

What are 3 of your favorite quotes from Fallen in Sin?
‘How delicate, how fragile, these mortals were…’
***
‘And he wanted to see her eat. Wanted to watch her part that pretty mouth and put things inside it.’
***
‘With his fingers on her skin, Ruax forgot about the other couples sitting around them, and the waiting staff bringing their meals and topping up their wine. The only thing that existed was her.’

What would your friends say is your best quality?
Probably my directness. You always know where you are with me.

Are reader reviews important to you. Why?
Yes, of course. Reviews can sell books, but also an author can learn a lot from readers’ reviews – what works and what doesn’t work. I always appreciate the time a reader takes to write a review on one of my books.

What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life”
I have three girls, ages 3, 6 and 9, so they take up the rest of my time. I’m lucky that writing is my full time job so I don’t have to have a ‘real life’ one.

Tell us about your other books?
I have over twenty-five novels published of various genres. I mainly write romance – paranormal, of course, but also romantic suspense, dark romance, and contemporary romance. I also have a brand new urban fantasy series called The Mind Movers coming out later this year.

If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be?
That I’ll always work to write the best story possible, and that I love to hear from readers, so if you’ve enjoyed my stories, please get in touch.

Thanks so much for interviewing me!
