Making 'it' Happen: A ferret lessen

If you have been keeping up with me via social media you know I have two boy ferrets who came to me last year in a bad state. They would bite to draw blood, didn't understand 'playing' because they were -breeder- ferrets, and were not familiar or socialized with people.

One year later and I would like to say Saber- the one who would always bite- doesn't always bite anymore. He has learned how to play with me. I can hold him without being afraid of very sharp teeth sinking into my skin and even bathe him!

Bubba, is very playful, learned quickly not to bite, and one year later has finally curled up in my lap and slept...only 1 time...but progress.

Why would I talk about this? Because it is a learning experience. With patience, support, love, understanding, and consistency I have seen these little guys grow and learn how to love and play back.

If I stay consistent in something, if I stay determined, if I have patience...then I can accomplish whatever I set my mind to.

The hard part: making myself do it no matter what...

When you set your mind to doing something what is the hardest part for you?

  1. That's awesome you stuck with them. Those two came to just the right home.
    Happy 2017!

  2. That is so adorable! I loved the pics and am so impressed by your patience and love. Yay for your success and have a great week!

    1. There were days when I wasn't always sure...but they grew on me...and their love returned is more reward than I ever thought could be. Thank you for stopping by.
