MacRieve (Immortals After Dark, #13)MacRieve by Kresley Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I couldn't hardly put this book down, and when I 'had' to it was like ripping apart of myself away. I fell in love with both characters. Cole knows how to pull on heart strings and encourage those twinges below the belt...

The couple in this book had obstacle after obstacle to face, just when they might be getting along- Cole provides a new twist and the reader and characters are thrown back down the tunnel.

MacRieve is a dark twisted wolf, he's been hurt- bvad- and getting past those issues, well let's just say he might not be able to. But then having your heart shown to you when you can't do a damn thing about it- will do that.

Chloe- Bad guy daughter auctioned off by witches, her body isn't her own, and then she's held captive by the twisted wolf, MacRieve... things couldn't possibly get any worse right?

Bothy these characters are fully fleshed out. Point of views stay consistent and I found myself connecting to both. I had high hopes that eventually they would both see their path but the stubborn couple is just that- both head strong- both fighting for what they want.
I loved that Chloe wasn't the average girl- the average woman even. Cole is known for strong females- but Chloe takes the cake with her profession and her intelligence. I was in awe.

This goes to show, with every book i read from Cole, why Kresley is my favorite author.
Like paranormal- a twisted dark hero and strong female- pick it up- it can stand alone in the series- and you won't regret meeting the characters.
